More than 100 people came out for the raucous book launch party for Damon Stewart’s Interesting Tales of Other People’s Woe.
The party kicked off at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 at The Hollow Bar in downtown Albany, N.Y. The boozy night featured a book signing, live performances by improv troupe The Mop & Bucket Co. and the band Hard Soul. Damon lead a Toast to Other People’s Woe and signed books for the crowd. The food was plentiful and the booze flowed freely.

DAMON’S TOAST TO OTHER PEOPLE’S WOE
To waking up in the bed of calamity,
staring at the dresser of disaster,
stumbling to the kitchen of chaos,
hoping to redeem our souls thereafter.
We take a breath,
gather our will,
into the judgmental world we go.
Here’s to hoping to tell interesting tales,
of other people’s woe.
